Gold tone. Measures 3" X 1 1/8".
The enclosed with the brooch reads:
"Freedom" is modeled after the Statue of Freedom that crowns the dome of the United States Capitol. Like the original, which was first raised to the dome on December 2, 1863, the Freedom pin represents "Freedom Triumphant in War and Peace." She holds a sheathed sword in her right hand, in her left, a laurel victory wreath and the shield of the United States with thirteen stripes. Her helmet is encircled with stars representing the original thirteen states, and features an eagle crest and feathers. The Freedom Pin commemorates the Freedom Statue's hundred-thirtieth anniversary and the ideals and dreams for which she stands.
Matching earrings are available.
